Emotions, Relationships & Self
Often, the first place we look when a relationship is not working is to the other person. How are they not meeting my needs? How are they wrong? How are they to blame for how I feel?
This is certainly one way to look at a situation but is it the most effective? The answer to this lies in the question, ‘how is this working?’. Chances are, it is not.
Relationships with others are often a mirror for the relationship we have with ourselves. It all starts with you. This can be a scary and confronting thought but it can also be an empowering one!
How are you treating yourself? How are you allowing others to treat you? Do you notice any correlations?
We explore this element of wellness which is often forgotten about in terms of health and wellbeing. As a society, we tend to focus on diet, exercise and perhaps other lifestyle factors, but the emotional side is too often ignored. This is a real shame as your emotional health has such an impact on your life as a whole.
We take a holistic approach to your health and wellbeing and believe that the most powerful changes occur when we focus on YOU as a whole person. This includes your emotional self, the relationships you have with others and the most important relationship of all – the one you have with yourself.
We are programmed to live our lives a certain way including the thoughts we think, the things we do and the words we speak. This is all programmed in our minds during early childhood and if the program has been uploaded incorrectly, it can prevent us from living the life we want to live.
This program is controlled by the subconscious mind (sometimes referred to as the unconscious mind). The subconscious mind has been uploading data from our environment and through our experiences since we were in utero. According to Dr Bruce Lipton, an Epigeneticist and Stem Cell Biologist, the subconscious mind develops by around age 7. Before this, your mind is on constant upload. Everything you see, hear, feel, touch, taste and perceive becomes engrained in your subconscious. Your attitudes, beliefs and values are all influenced by your subconscious mind and when it is working with you, it can be a very powerful tool indeed.
So, when does this become a problem? If the program you uploaded before you were 7 years old is no longer working for you, it can have serious implications for the way you live your life. According to Bruce Lipton, our life is controlled by the subconscious mind 95% of the time. We use our conscious mind only 5% of the time and this is where our desires and aspirations reside.
We will bring your awareness to your subconscious dialogue that is constantly running in the background. If we can learn to live our lives more consciously, we have a greater chance of living the life that we desire.
